Edible Flowers
We use edible flowers to put a visual 'pop' in our salad mixes, mustard mixes, salad bowls. There are many different kinds of edible flowers, but our favorites are listed below and can be found in our greens mixes within season.

viola/pansy
Pansys and their little brothers-Johnny Jump Ups are cute and delicious. They have a faint wintergreen flavor.

Calendula
I pluck off the petals of the yellow and orange calendula flowers and sprinkle on cakes and salads.

Bachelor buttons
Batchelor buttons come in shades of bright blue to light purple and are cute as a button with a mild flavor.

nasturtiums
Nasturtiums have a slightly spicy flavor and velvety texture. Their seeds can be pickled to make 'capers'.
